Art, Nature and Languages: Chilean Teacher and Klas Triumph Again in “Multilingualism is Wealth 2025”

For the second consecutive year, the elementary and kindergarten school ZŠ a MŠ Klas, located in Pardubice – Rosice nad Labem, has been recognized among the winners of the national competition “Vícejazyčnost je bohatství” (Multilingualism is Wealth), organized by Spolek Zaedno www.zaedno.org) and the Kamarádi project (www.kamaradi.eu).

This year’s winning project was an artistic and educational video based on the book “The Man Who Planted Trees” by French author Jean Giono. The story explores themes such as sustainability, personal commitment, and environmental transformation. The video was narrated in Spanish, English, and Czech, and students expressed their interpretations through illustrations, animations, and voiceovers in all three languages.

The project was led by Chilean teacher Macarena, together with teachers Kateřina, Aneta, and Tomáš, in a collaborative effort that brought together language, art, and technology.

The award ceremony took place on November 21, 2025, at the European Commission Representation in Prague, and featured an exhibition of the winning projects, with the participation of schools and officials from across the country.

The winning group consisted of students from 8th and 9th grade, while students from 5th and 6th grade also attended as representatives, with the goal of drawing inspiration and representing the broader school community. The delegation was accompanied by the school’s director, Kateřina Suchová, who actively supported the team’s participation in this multicultural experience.

In addition to the competition, Spolek Zaedno invited Klas School to take part in the “Speaking Dating Junior” program, a space for linguistic exchange that featured interactive activities in various European languages including Finnish, Danish, Hungarian, Greek, Bulgarian, among others.

This recognition highlights collaborative work, student creativity, and the teaching of Spanish, positioning Klas as one of the few schools in Pardubice actively promoting the Spanish language from the early years of education.

Arte, naturaleza y lenguas: la profesora chilena y Klas triunfan de nuevo en “Vícejazyčnost je bohatství 2025”

Por segundo año consecutivo, la escuela primaria y jardín de infancia ZŠ a MŠ Klas, ubicada en Pardubice – Rosice nad Labem, ha sido reconocida entre los ganadores del concurso nacional “Vícejazyčnost je bohatství” (La multilingüidad es una riqueza), organizado por el Spolek Zaedno (zaedno@zaedno.org | www.zaedno.org) y el proyecto Kamarádi (www.kamaradi.eu).

Este año, el proyecto ganador fue un vídeo artístico y educativo basado en el libro del autor francés Jean Giono, “El hombre que plantaba árboles”. La obra explora temas como la sostenibilidad, el compromiso personal y la transformación del entorno. El video fue narrado en español, inglés y checo, y los estudiantes plasmaron sus interpretaciones a través de ilustraciones, animaciones y voces en las tres lenguas.

La creación fue dirigida por la profesora chilena Macarena, junto a los profesores Kateřina, Aneta y Tomáš, en un trabajo colaborativo que integró las áreas de lengua, arte y tecnología.

La ceremonia de premiación se celebró el 21 de noviembre de 2025 en la sede de la Comisión Europea en Praga, con exposición de los trabajos destacados y participación de autoridades y escuelas de todo el país.

El grupo ganador estuvo compuesto por estudiantes de 8º y 9º grado, mientras que alumnos de 5º y 6º grado asistieron como representantes, con el objetivo de inspirarse y representar a toda la comunidad escolar. La delegación fue acompañada por la directora de la escuela Kateřina Suchová, quien apoyó activamente la participación del equipo en esta experiencia multicultural.

Además del concurso, el Spolek Zaedno invitó a la escuela Klas a participar en el programa “Speaking Dating Junior”, un espacio de intercambio lingüístico que incluyó actividades en diversos idiomas europeos como finlandés, danés, húngaro, griego, búlgaro, entre otros.

Este reconocimiento pone en valor el trabajo colaborativo, la creatividad estudiantil y la enseñanza del español, posicionando a la escuela Klas como una de las pocas instituciones en Pardubice que promueven activamente la lengua española desde las primeras etapas del aprendizaje.

Umění, příroda a jazyky: chilská učitelka a škola Klas opět vítězí ve „Vícejazyčnost je bohatství 2025“

Již druhým rokem po sobě byla základní a mateřská škola ZŠ a MŠ Klas z Pardubic – Rosic nad Labem oceněna mezi vítězi celostátní soutěže „Vícejazyčnost je bohatství“, kterou pořádá Spolek Zaedno www.zaedno.org) a projekt Kamarádi (www.kamaradi.eu).

Letos škola zvítězila s uměleckým a vzdělávacím videem inspirovaným knihou francouzského autora Jeana Giona – „Muž, který sázel stromy“. Příběh zkoumá témata jako udržitelnost, osobní odpovědnost a proměna prostředí. Video bylo namluveno ve španělštině, angličtině a češtině a žáci vyjádřili své interpretace pomocí ilustrací, animací a hlasového doprovodu ve všech třech jazycích.

Projekt vedla chilská učitelka Macarena spolu s učiteli Kateřinou, Anetou a Tomášem v rámci spolupráce, která spojila jazyk, výtvarnou výchovu a technologie.

Slavnostní předání cen proběhlo 21. listopadu 2025 v Zastoupení Evropské komise v Praze. Součástí bylo také vystoupení žáků a výstava oceněných prací za účasti škol z celé republiky.

Vítěznou skupinu tvořili žáci 8. a 9. ročníku, zatímco žáci z 5. a 6. ročníku se zúčastnili jako zástupci s cílem inspirovat se a reprezentovat širší školní komunitu. Delegaci doprovázela ředitelka školy Kateřina Suchová, která aktivně podporovala účast týmu na této multikulturní akci.

Kromě samotné soutěže pozval Spolek Zaedno školu Klas k účasti v programu „Speaking Dating Junior“, který nabídl jazykové aktivity v různých evropských jazycích, například finštině, dánštině, maďarštině, řečtině, bulharštině a dalších.

Toto ocenění podtrhuje spolupráci, tvořivost žáků a výuku španělštiny, a potvrzuje, že škola Klas patří mezi přední školy v Pardubicích, které aktivně podporují výuku španělského jazyka již od raného věku.
